In our previous posts, we explored how to inhabit your body (Dasein) and how to clear your space of other people’s energy in the form of expectations (Eigenwelt).

But what happens the moment you actually do this? What happens when you finally kick everyone else out of your space and stand in your own center?

You don’t usually feel peace immediately. The first thing you will feel is anxiety.

Rollo May famously reframed anxiety not as a sickness to be cured, but as an ontological necessity. He called it "The Dizziness of Freedom."

“Anxiety is the state of the human being in the struggle against that which would destroy his being.”

— Rollo May, The Meaning of Anxiety

May argued that anxiety arises whenever a new possibility emerges. It is the experience of the gap between who you were and who you are becoming (or who you think you are and who you actually are, or are required to be.) It is the vertigo of standing on the edge of your own potential, realizing that nothing is holding you back anymore—and that terrified part of you wants to grab any railing.

The Energetic Mechanism of "Growth Periods"

I see this specific type of anxiety as a very positive signal. I call it a Growth Period.

When you run high-vibration energy or clear a major block from your Eigenwelt, you enter a void. The old "You"—the one constructed by Mitwelt validation and survival patterning—starts to dissolve. This is essential for a new ability, skill, self-awareness or self-actualization to become real.

The ego panics. It interprets this dissolution as death. It sends signals of danger, shaking, and "dizziness" to try to get you to contract back into your smallness - it grabs the handrails, and if it can’t find them, it feels like it’s falling over the cliff.

Most people try to medicate this feeling, ignore it, or fix it. They assume something has gone horribly, horribly, wrong.

But for the Clairvoyant, we recognize this vibration as necessary to the process of spiritual growth and development; you can think of this as Expansion.

  • It is the sensation of your energy field stretching to hold more of your own Spirit.

  • It is the friction of your new seniority rubbing up against your old limits or other people’s pictures.

  • It is the proof that you are moving from a "stabilized past" into a "creative future."

Validating the Shake

If you are doing this work correctly, you will feel this. If you’re heavily committed to this work, you will feel this often.

You might feel a sudden urge to sabotage your progress. You might feel "strange" or "wrong" for being so separate from the groups that once provided you the handrails to cling to. You might feel physically ungrounded as your old reality creates friction with your new one.

This is not a sign to stop. It is a sign to breathe, and BE.

We don’t try to "cure" this anxiety; we validate it. We increase havingness (our energetic capacity) to tolerate the uncertainty of the unknown. We learn to stand in the dizziness without grabbing for the old crutches of external validation and instead, through the radical act of simply being (not doing) we make space for something new to emerge.

Freedom is never comfortable at first. It requires the courage to stand in the center of your head, feel the shake, and say, "I am doing this. And I choose this. And I trust myself.”

🏄‍♂️ Weekly Practitioner Exchange: 30-Minute Reading & Healing

Pair up with a reading partner and exchange 30-minute Clairvoyant Readings together. Practice both giving and receiving as a way of deepening your experience and relationship to this topic.

The Reading Topics:

  • The Edge of Becoming: Look at the edge of the readee’s aura. Where are they expanding? Look for the specific color or vibration of "The New" that is trying to come in.

  • The Anxiety Signal: Look at the energy of anxiety in their space. Is it "Fear" (a warning of danger) or is it "Dizziness" (the vertigo of freedom)? Validate the difference.

  • The Old Crutch: Look for the mechanism the readee uses to stop the dizziness. Do they merge with others? Do they go into their intellect? Do they judge themselves?

  • The Capacity: Ask the readee to mock up having 10% more tolerance for the unknown. What does that shift look like in their 3rd Chakra (Solar Plexus)?

Healing Focus:

Give the readee a healing on their Grounding Cord. When we expand (Growth Period), we often need to update our grounding to handle the higher voltage. Help them widen their cord to match their new expansion.

🧘🏾‍♂️ One Small Step: A Solo Micro-Action

Sometimes something is too charged to feel safe being vulnerable in interpersonal spaces with it at first. If this is really stimulating you, you can work this energy in meditation using your tools, or in moments of embodiment and pause throughout your day.

Breathe into the Dizziness

Next time you feel that flutter of anxiety (before a big decision, a difficult conversation, or a creative act):

  1. Don't contract. Don't hold your breath.

  2. Expand. Visualize your aura getting 2 feet wider in all directions.

  3. Say to yourself: "This is just the dizziness of freedom. I am safe to expand."

Your body is confusing excitement with danger. You can re-train it by giving it space rather than compression.

Tell me in the comments: What new possibility is scaring you right now? Is it a new job, a new relationship boundary, or a creative project?

📓 Journaling and Self-Reflection Prompts

Sometimes we need to write it down to get it out of our aura. People learn, experience, and process energy in a variety of ways—visually, auditorily, conceptually—and here at AotSA, we validate all those different forms. If you process through writing, take 10 minutes with your journal to "audit" a recurring picture in your space you’ve come across using this template.

  • The Growth Audit:

List three times in your life when you felt intense anxiety right before a breakthrough. Did you interpret it as "something wrong" at the time? How do you see it now?

  • The Safety Check:

Rollo May suggests we trade freedom for safety. Where in your life are you currently choosing "safety" (staying small, quiet, or enmeshed) to avoid the dizziness of being free?

  • The Void:

If you stopped mitigating your direct experience and just stood in the center of your head... what are you afraid would happen? (e.g., "I would be alone," "I would be overwhelmed"). Write it down to blow the picture.

Transition is a sacred threshold, but you don’t have to cross it alone.

As a liminal healer and intuitive coach, I hold space for those navigating the "in-between" moments of life, which sometimes can last days, weeks, months, or years. By working with consciousness tools and focusing on reuniting body, mind, and spirit to one’s innate creativity, I help you turn seasons of change into seasons of emergence.

With over twenty years of experience as a professional clairvoyant, trance-medium, and psychic teacher supporting more than a thousand seekers and mystics on their journey to self-actualization, I invite you to step into authenticity and autonomy.
